It was revealed during a segment of the reality show Rise And Fall. Dhanashree was talking to actor Kubbra Sait over breakfast when Kubbra asked, “When did you realise in your relationship that – Bhai, yeh nahi chal sakta, yeh mistake ho gaya hai abhi?” (When did you realise in your relationship that this won’t work, and that it was a mistake?)
Dhanashree replied, “First year. Caught him in the second month.” Kubbra reacted in shock and said, “Crazy bro.”

About Dhanashree And Yuzvendra’s Relationship
Dhanashree and Chahal married in Gurugram in December 2020. They met during the Covid-19 pandemic when Chahal approached Dhanashree for dance lessons. The couple separated in June 2022 and filed for divorce by mutual consent in February 2025. Their divorce was finalised in March.
Dhanashree spoke about the emotional toll in August on Humans of Bombay. She recalled, “I still remember when I was standing there and the verdict was about to be given. Even though we were so well-prepared mentally, I got so emotional. I started howling in front of everybody. Couldn’t even express what I was feeling at that point. Just remember that I kept crying, I was just howling and crying. Of course! All of that happened, and he (Chahal) walked out first.”
