RRR: SS Rajamouli’s RRR has has been winning numerous international awards. Last week the film won four awards at the Hollywood Critics Association 2023. The awards were Best Action Film, Best Stunts, Best Song, and Best International Film. And now Alia Bhatt and Jr. NTR have won the ‘Spotlight Award’ at HCA 2023.
The official Twitter page of Hollywood Critics Association announced the news on Twitter. It wrote, “Dear RRR fans and supporters, We would like to share the awards for N.T. Rama Rao Jr. and Alia Bhatt with you. We will send them out the upcoming week. Thank you so much for your love. The Hollywood Critics Association is an organisation of film critics”.
The film stars Ram Charan and NTR. Last week Rajamouli received the four awards along with Ram Charan. Jr NTR and Alia were could not attend the award ceremony due to their personal commitments.
HCA shares photos
Sharing the update about sending trophies to Alia and Jr NTR, the official Twitter handle of HCA also shared photographs of the trophies.
Ram Charan also presented the award at HCA 2023. He posted photos from the event and wrote, “I’m honoured to be representing Indian cinema alongside @ssrajamouli and MM. Keravani garu at the Hollywood Critics’ Awards. I am proud that we received tonight as team RRR. Thank you for having me as a presenter, and Angela Bassett, I hope to get a selfie with you soon. 2023 @RRRmovie @HCACritics”.
RRR collected Rs 1,200 crore worldwide
RRR is a fictional story based on the lives of two Telugu freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. Ram Charan and Jr NTR played lead roles, respectively. The film collected over Rs 1,200 crore worldwide. Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran also starred in the film.
Its song ‘Naatu Naatu’ is nominated in the Best Original sing category for Oscars 2023. The awards will be announced on March 12. Composed by MM Keeravani and sung by singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, the song is a craze all over the world.
