RRR music composer MM Keeravani’s mother and SS Rajamouli’s aunt passes away

MM Keeravani: Team RRR has been enjoying a worldwide success after being nominated for Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards. However, on personal front, the team is mourning as film’s music director MM Keeravani’s mother Bhanumati who was also the aunt of director SS Rajamouli has passed away.

MM Keeravani’s mother passes away

According to media reports, director MM Keeravani’s mother has been unwell for quite some time. She was undergoing treatment at a hospital where she also breathed her last. 

It is very little known that MM Keeravani and SS Rajamouli are cousins. Keeravani’s father Siva Shakthi Datta was a well-known lyricist and screenwriter in the Telugu film industry.

Recently, MM Keeravani bagged ‘Best Music Score’ Award at LA Film Critics 2022 for his work in Ram Charan and Jr NTR starrer. Sharing the happy news, the makers wrote, “Our very own @MMKeeravaani Garu won the prestigious @LAFilmCritics award for the Best Music Director Our utmost gratitude to the jury for recognising #RRRMovie’s chartbuster album & background score.”

RRR nominated for Golden Globes and Critics Choice Awards

RRR continues its global domination, making it a strong contender for an oscar nomination. Recently the film was nominated for two Golden Globes. Congratulating Rajamouli on the feat, Jr NTR penned a heartfelt note that read: “What a proud moment @ssrajamouli garu! Can’t wait to see you conquer world cinema Honoured that #RRRMovie bagged the Best Non-English Language Film and the Best Original Song nominations at the @goldenglobes awards! Congratulations team RRR!!”

On top of that, it was revealed that RRR earned five nominations for the the 28th annual Critics Choice Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.
