Singer Rahul Vaidya is facing online heat after a video of him performing “Kajra Re” at a star-studded Mumbai wedding went viral. The clip shows him singing live while actors Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan join in on the dance floor.
The wedding took place on May 17 at the Jio World Convention Centre. Aishwarya and Abhishek arrived in twinning traditional outfits with their daughter Aaradhya. Rahul Vaidya took over the mic and performed the hit track “Kajra Re” from Bunty Aur Babli as the Bachchans grooved to the beats.
Aishwarya danced joyfully while Abhishek clapped and smiled throughout the performance. The sweet Bollywood moment caught attention online, but not everyone enjoyed it.
As the clip spread across social media, netizens wasted no time trolling Vaidya. Many mocked his voice and questioned his presence at the event. One user commented, “Ye shadiyo me gaane wala singer hai not playback singer in movie.” Another harshly wrote, “Sadak chp singer.”
One said, “Abhishek Bachchan ki budget itni kam thi kya jo inhone Rahul ko bulaya gane ke liye?” A user commented, “Haha he actually looks very funny. Asli joker toh yeh hai.”
This trolling comes days after Rahul’s recent clash with Virat Kohli fans.

The feud began when Kohli’s Instagram account liked a post featuring influencer Avneet Kaur. Kohli later blamed it on an algorithm glitch, but Vaidya didn’t hold back. He posted, “Maybe Instagram also blocks people on his behalf.”
Vaidya then claimed Kohli had blocked him. He lashed out at Kohli’s fans, calling them “jokers” and accusing them of attacking his family online. While Kohli stayed silent, his brother Vikas Kohli called out Vaidya for seeking attention.
Later, Kohli unblocked the singer. Vaidya responded with a surprising change of tone and called Kohli “India’s pride.” That move appeared to end the controversy.
