Sadhguru Viral Video: The buzz around Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is huge right now. Fans are excited to see Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama. But the casting has also brought a lot of debate. Many people online questioned if Ranbir, who has played modern and bold roles earlier, could fit a divine character from Indian mythology. The first-look teaser did change some opinions. Yet many viewers are still not fully convinced.
Now, spiritual leader Sadhguru has stepped in. He has spoken in support of Ranbir and called out the trolling.
Sadhguru Viral Video: Spiritual Leader Defends Ranbir Kapoor’s Casting As Ram In Ramayana
Sadhguru recently had a conversation with Ramayana producer Namit Malhotra. Namit shared his view and said the criticism for casting Ranbir felt unfair. Responding to this, Sadhguru said, “It is not a fair judgment of an actor because he acted in some way. He acted in a certain role, let’s say being Rama. You expect him to become fully Rama. Now tomorrow in another movie he may act as Ravana, some other production, they may choose him as Ravana. So that is a professional actor.”
His point was that Actors take on different roles and their real personality is not the same as the characters they play. They should be judged by their performance, not their past roles or public image.
Sadhguru Praises Yash
While talking about Kannada star Yash (who plays Ravana) Sadhguru added, “Yash is a handsome man.”
Namit agreed and praised the KGF star. He said, “Yash is a very handsome man, and a very talented superstar in the country and incredibly loved. We want to show all shades of Ravan, his devotion, his depth, which only Yash can do.”
The cast and team have been working very hard on this project. Actor Ravie Dubey, who plays Lakshman, recently revealed Ranbir’s dedication. He shared that Ranbir has made big lifestyle changes for this role.
Reports say Ranbir has turned vegetarian. He has also quit alcohol and is following a sattvic diet. Along with this, he is meditating regularly. These choices show how seriously he is preparing to portray Lord Rama.
Ramayana: Part 1 is set to release on Diwali 2026. The second part will arrive on Diwali 2027. With Ranbir as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana, the film already has one of the most exciting star casts in Indian cinema.
Ranbir also has a busy slate ahead. Apart from Ramayana, he will be seen in Dhoom 4, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal Park.
