Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra took to Instagram to share the release date of her much anticipated film Saina. The biopic, which is based on the life of Indian badminton player Saina Nehwal, is set to release on March 26.
Parineeti shared the poster of the film and captioned it: “SAINA! She followed her captions with emojis of a smiley and a badminton racket.
Saina Nehwal also shared the poster on her official social media accounts. “Check out the first look of my biopic #Saina. Best wishes to the team. In cinemas on 26th March,” she wrote.
The film is directed by Amole Gupte and was shot in 2019. It was originally scheduled to release last year but was postponed in the wake of pandemic. Earlier, Shraddha Kapoor was roped in to play the titular role but the actress had to later drop the project over her scheduling issues.
Parineeti will also be seen in the film “Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar”, which has been directed by Dibakar Banerjee. The film also stars Arjun Kapoor and is slated to release on March 19. Currently, her film The Girl on the Train is garnering mix reviews from the critics.
