Saira Banu says Dilip Kumar's health improving, urges fans to pray for recovery

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar, who was admitted to Hinduja Hospital on June 20, following old-age problems, is showing signs of improvement- his wife and veteran actress Saira Banu said in a tweet, while urging fans to pray for his speedy recovery. The superstar hasn't been keeping well for quite some time and has been hospitalised quite often in last few months. Earlier, he was hospitalised due to breathing issues.

"We are grateful for God's infinite mercy on Dilip Sahib that his health is improving," read an excerpt from Saira Banu's message on Twitter. She further requested fans to pray and send well wishes for Dilip Kumar, for his speedy recovery: "We are still in hospital and request your prayers and duas so that Insha'Allah he is healthy and discharged soon."

On Saturday, in a statement to ANI, Saira Banu said, "Dilip Kumar Sahab's health is still stable. He is still in ICU, we want to take him home, but we are waiting for doctors' approval as they know his medical condition as soon as doctors allow, will take him home." She added, "He will not be discharged today. Need prayers of his fans, he will be back soon.

This is the second time that Dilip Kumar has been admitted to the hospital within the span of a month. He was earlier admitted on June 6 after complains of breathlessness. He was discharged on June 11.
