Salman Khan applies for a weapon license after getting a death threat letter

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has applied for a weapon licence in regards to self-defence as he received a threat letter from Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang in June. “Actor Salman Khan applied for a weapon license for self-protection at the Mumbai Police after he recently received a threat letter”, said Mumbai Police.

As per the people directly connected to the matter and knowledge, the actor went to the Mumbai Police headquarters and met top rank officer Vivek Phansalkar in order to get a gun license. They proclaimed that Khan wants the gun license to protect his family and himself.

Threat letter

The security team of Salim Khan found the threat letter outside their Mumbai home near Bandra bandstand Promenade where Salim khan goes for his morning walk. The letter was written in Hindi and stated both son & father would soon meet the fate of massacred Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala (Tera Moosawala bana denge), said Police.

As per Maharastra Home Department, the gang threatened Salman and his father merely to show off their power. “The gang was preparing to extort money from big businessmen and actors,” it said.

However, keeping in mind of the actors’ security the Maharashtra department of home affairs has increased the actors’ security.
