Amid reports of alleged death threats against Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, the Mumbai Police has stepped up security outside his residence in Mumbai. According to news sources, the Bandra Police have registered an FIR in connection with a threatening email received by Prashant Gunjalkar, a close associate of the actor, from a person identified as Rohit Garg. The email mentioned gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar, and it was registered under sections 506 (2), 120 (b), and 34 of IPC on Sunday.

The email reportedly made reference to a recent interview with Lawrence Bishnoi, in which he declared that killing Salman Khan was his only objective. The sender urged Gunjalkar to show the interview to Salman and also informed him that Goldie Brar wanted to talk to him to settle the matter. During the interview, Lawrence had also demanded that Salman apologize to the Jambeshwarji temple for his role in the blackbuck killing case.
