Indian comedian Samay Raina is set to make a powerful return to the spotlight with his latest stand-up special Still Alive. The trailer for the special drops today, April 5, with the full special premiering exclusively on YouTube on April 7, 2026.
More than just a title, Still Alive reflects a defining phase in Raina’s career. In February 2025, India’s Got Latent—the YouTube talent show he had built into one of India’s most-watched creator-led properties—became the centre of a nationwide controversy. A remark made during a members-only episode went viral, triggering multiple FIRs across states, summons from the National Commission for Women, and an inquiry by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell. The matter escalated to the Supreme Court of India, placing Raina at the centre of a larger debate on digital content, free speech, and online accountability.

In response, Raina took down all episodes of the show, cancelled scheduled tours, and cooperated fully with authorities, including a six-hour interrogation session in Navi Mumbai. Throughout this period, he maintained silence publicly, refraining from statements or media engagement.
His return began in August 2025, when he stepped back onto the stage with the Still Alive & Unfiltered India Tour. The tour opened in Bengaluru, selling over 40,000 tickets within an hour of release. Subsequent performances at major venues including Bharat Mandapam and Talkatora Stadium in Delhi were sold out, marking a significant resurgence in audience support.
The tour extended internationally, covering Europe, Australia, and North America. The run culminated in a landmark performance at Madison Square Garden, making Raina one of the youngest Indian comedians to achieve this milestone.
