The actor is a family man and he never fails to follow the rituals. At the Vishnupad Temple in Gaya, Bihar, actor Sanjay Dutt gave a pind daan performance. Sanjay prayed for his deceased parents, Sunil Dutt and Nargis, to find peace in their spirits. Wearing a white kurta and dhoti, he was accompanied by security guards to make sure he was safe.
Sanjay Dutt performs pind daan in Bihar
Hindus perform a ritual called pind daan in which they honor the deceased members of their family. At three sacred locations in Gaya—the Phalgu River, the Vishnupad Temple, and the Akshay Vat tree—it is carried out by the departed’s family members. The ritual can be finished in a single day in roughly two hours.
The actor wished to go to Ayodhya
He visited his followers, who were waiting for him outside the temple premises, on Thursday after completing the ceremonies. In his brief interactions with the media, he also conveyed his excitement about the impending construction of the Lord Ram temple in Ayodhya. He expressed his desire to pay a visit and make prayers at the Ayodhya shrine.
The actor said, “Bahut achchi baat hai, bahut achchi baat hai (it’s great)” when asked about the upcoming January 22 consecration of the Ram temple. Following this, the actor enthusiastically began chanting Jai Bhole and Jai Shri Ram, drawing applause from onlookers. In the past, reporters had also questioned him about his desire to visit Ayodhya while he was at the airport. “Definitely,” he said to them. Why not?
