Satish Kaul death: Mahabharata actor lost the battle of life from Corona, was living in a pathetic condition

Satish Kaul, a well-known Hindi-Punjabi actor who played the role of Indra Bhagwan in BR Chopra’s highly popular TV show ‘Mahabharata’, died this morning due to a corona infection.

After coming to Corona positive last week, he was admitted to Sri Rama Charitable Trust Hospital in Ludhiana. He was 72 years old.

Satya Devi, her caretaker who has been taking care of Satish Kaul for the last few years, confirmed this news over phone from Ludhiana and told media that his last rites would be performed on Sunday in Ludhiana.

Satish Kaul worked in nearly 300 Hindi and Punjabi films. The highly popular serials ‘Mahabharata’, ‘Circus’ and ‘Vikram Betal’ were also seen in different roles.

Born in Kashmir, Satish was around 72 years of age and was struggling with depression at the last stage of his age.

Satish started an acting school in Ludhiana in which he suffered a lot and later he had to close it.

His family life too was not very good. Satish’s wife divorced him and she shifted to America with her children.

Satish’s big hit films were Hindi and Punjabi actors Satish Ne Pyar To Hona Hi Tha (1998), Aunty No 1 (1998), Zanjeer (1998), Yarana (1995), Ailan (1994), Ilzaam (1986), Siva He worked with many big and veteran actors in films like Ka Insaaf (1985) and Kasam. Talking about Punjabi films, Satish was a part of films like Azadi, Shera De Putt Sher, Moula Jatt, Guddo, Patola and Pinga Pyar Diya.

Talking about Satish Kaul, he had moved from Mumbai to Punjab and started an acting school around 2011 but his project was not successful.

Later, the situation worsened from bad to worse, with no money left to buy ration nor to buy medicines.
