Shah Rukh Khan calls John Abraham 'backbone' of Pathaan during press conference; praises Deepika for her action

Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan, is the year's first blockbuster film. The film broke box office records within five days of its release. It has already surpassed Rs 500 crore at the global box office. Following the film's huge success, SRK was scheduled to meet with the media today, January 30, in Mumbai. He, together with Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, and director Siddharth Anand, discussed Pathaan's meteoric success.

Shah Rukh Khan lauded his co-stars at the PC with media. He lauded Deepika Padukone, saying, "Trailer mein bhi hai, main sach bata raha hoon. I think the hottest battle scene I've ever seen is when Ek Aadmi se lipat ke she kicks. Maine fighter ke kahani suni hai, genuine fighter is Deepika, romantic lead is Hrithik." Shah Rukh Khan praised John Abraham, saying, "The backbone of Pathaan, the best part about Pathaan is Jim performed by John Abraham."

The spy-thriller collected Rs 250 crore in India

Pathaan achieved Rs 250 crore nett in India in just five days. The total collection has now surpassed Rs 280 crore and is projected to rise further in the coming days. The entire revenue from overseas is Rs 207.2 crore. For the first time, SRK, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham collaborated on Pathaan. Yash Raj Films produced the film, which was written and directed by Siddharth Anand. It is the fourth episode in Khan's YRF Spy Universe and the sequel to Zero (2018).
