King of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan‘s much awaited film ‘Jawan’ is soon all set to release worldwide on 7th September. While fans are eagerly waiting for his film, once again Shah Rukh Khan seems to be embroiled in controversies due to an online gaming ad. On Saturday (August 26), a crowd of some people came outside his house ‘Mannat’ to protest against the actor for endorsing online gaming apps. Soon after, the Mumbai Police was stationed outside Shahrukh’s house.
Protest over SRK’s online gaming portal
A23 is an online rummy gaining app whose brand ambassador is Shah Rukh Khan. Recently a promo of A23 is out in which the ‘Pathaan’ actor is heard saying “Chalo Saath Khelein”. Untouch Youth Foundation has protested against Shah Rukh Khan as the group believes that online games like Junglee Rummy, Zupee, and others Gaming apps and portals corrupt the youth and can lead to addiction.
According to reports, Untouch Youth Foundation has issued an official statement which states, “Famous actors and actresses work in these advertisements and they are working towards misguiding society. The protest will be held outside Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat bungalow on behalf of Untouch India Foundation.”
“The new generation is involved in playing Junglee rummy. If someone is playing Junglee rummy or gambling outside, the police arrest them, but big Bollywood stars promoting online games are misleading the young generation. The Bollywood stars also know it is wrong, but they are getting money so they are promoting them. We make these stars famous by watching their movies and spending our money on them. We demand these advertisements to stop. These apps are illegal, we can not find them on Google, but these apps are uploaded on private websites,” said Krishchandra Adal, President of Untouch India Foundation.
