Plot Overview: Survival, Crime and the Thin Line Between

The story of “Shaitan” is the tale of Baali and his family, who are driven into the abyss of criminality to subsist in a world let down by its system and authorities. Their survival instincts blur the boundary between right and wrong, immersing them deeper into the realm of transgressions.

A Hard-Hitting, Gripping Journey into the Crime World

“Shaitan” holds you captive from its first scene, instantly plunging into its crime-laden narrative. Viewers journey through the life of Baali via a succession of flashbacks, which, despite spanning multiple timelines, never overwhelm.

Each episode, approximately 30 minutes long, propels the story forward without dragging, and with cliffhangers peppering the end of every episode, viewers’ engagement is ensured. Characters are skillfully etched, soliciting empathy without vindicating their actions.

The cast excels at portraying their morally ambiguous roles, effectively displaying intricate emotions. As the audience navigates the character-filled landscape of “Shaitan,” the crime world’s exploration becomes a more engrossing experience.

However, “Shaitan” is not for the faint-hearted, showcasing graphic, horrific scenes. Raghav does not flinch from portraying intense violence, further underscored by a perfectly timed background score that intensifies the scenes without drowning out the dialogues.
