Shakuntala Devi trailer: Vidya Balan is the witty genius that even computers can't beat

The makers of Shakuntala Devi dropped the much awaited trailer of the film today and it is as intriguing as ever. The trailer shows Vidya Balan in and as Shakuntala Devi, playing with numbers with utmost ease. Also knows as the human computer, she is the maths genius who can solve complex equations in no time.

As Vidya Balan steps into the shoes of the Shakuntala Devi, we get a sneak peek into how the Mathematics wizard managed her personal life along with her professional life. From bagging the precious Genius Book of World Record to dealing with love-hate relationship with her two daughters, the trailer portrays the chronicles of Shakuntala Devi's life.

Vidya while being her charming and witty self, reveals that maths has no rules but pure magic.

Shakuntala Devi has been directed by Anu Manon and produced by Sony Pictures Networks Productions and Vikram Malhbotra jointly. It also stars Sanya Malhotra and Amit Sadh in pivotal roles.

The film was scheduled to release on May 8 but was postponed in the wake of coronavirus pandemic. The makers then announced the OTT release of the film, making it one of the first few films to ditch the conventional theatrical release.

Shakuntala Devi is scheduled to stream from July 31 worldwide on Amazon prime videos.
