Sunny Deol was visibly angry on Thursday as he confronted photographers outside his Mumbai home. The actor lashed out at the paparazzi for invading his family’s privacy after his father, veteran actor Dharmendra, returned from the hospital.
Earlier this week, the Deol family confirmed Dharmendra’s discharge from Breach Candy Hospital. He is now continuing his treatment at home. Sunny’s team had already asked the media to give the family privacy, but that request was ignored.
Sunny Deol Loses His Temper At Photographers
Several videos circulating online show Sunny stepping out of his house and angrily addressing the crowd of photographers. The Gadar 2 actor looked emotional and frustrated as he folded his hands, asking them to leave.
He was heard saying, “Aap logon ko sharam aayni chaiyeh… Aapke ghar mein maa-baap hain, bacche hain… Chn ki taranh video liye jaa rahe ho.. Sharam nahi aati (You guys should be ashamed of yourself. You guys also have parents, have kids… Still are making videos like idiots… You should be ashamed of yourself).”
Sunny’s reaction came after days of constant media attention outside the Deol residence. Reporters and cameramen had been following every update since Dharmendra’s hospitalisation. Even after his return, they continued to film visitors and everyday deliveries.
Sunny Deol And Family Request Privacy
A day before the incident, the family had shared a statement urging people to stop speculating about Dharmendra’s health. The note read, “Mr Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time.”
The family has been deeply protective of Dharmendra, who has faced several health issues in recent years.
Hema Malini On Dharmendra’s Recovery
Hema Malini also spoke about her husband’s condition, sharing that it has been an emotional time for the family. In her statement to journalist Subhash K Jha, she said, “It has not been an easy time for me. Dharamji’s health is a matter of great concern for us. His children are sleepless. I can’t afford to be weak, too many responsibilities. But yes, I am happy he’s back home. We are relieved he is out of the hospital. He needs to be among the people he loves. Baki toh sab oopar wale ke haath mein hai (Everything else is in the hands of the Almighty). Please pray for us.”
Earlier this week, false rumours about Dharmendra’s death had spread online, worrying fans. However, the family (including Hema and Esha Deol) quickly denied the reports and confirmed that the veteran star is safe and recovering well.
