Shark Tank India Season 2: ‘Aisa start up dekh kar maza aa gaya,” Namita Thapar tells pitchers seeking ‘expertise’

Shark Tank India Season 2: Pranav and Ravjot came to present their brand Medulance and they impressed the Sharks with the numbers of their customers and the Sharks got related to their business as they have also faced family loss. Amit Jain revealed that he felt connected to the start-up because he lost his father because of the late ambulance service. Pitchers asked for 2 crores in the exchange of 1% equity and it shocked the Sharks. Anupam Mittal said, “Aapki ambulance ki jarurat padegi mujhe” as they asked for Rs 100 crores valuation. Pitchers replied, “hum theek kar denge sir.”

Shark Tank India Season 2: Sharks were shocked to hear the profit of Medulance

Pitchers impressed the Sharks with their pitch and they also impressed them with their earnings. The company was started in 2017 but it was in profit since three years and Sharks were very happy to hear that. Namita Thapar asked them, “Aapne itni valuation rakhi hai matlab koi na koi prior round to raise kiya hoga.” Pitchers said that their company is totally bootstrapped and sharks were shocked to hear that. Namita Thapar said, “Aise start-up dekhke maja aa gaya.” Anupam Mittal asks them why they want to raise the investment as they are going in profit. Picthers continued that they want the expertise of Sharks and Namita said, “Yeahhhhh Expertise.”

Amit Jain gave the biggest offer in the history of the show

However, sharks were impressed with Medulance and they all wanted to give offer but Anupam stepped out because he felt that 2 crores are very less amount for them. Namita and Aman gave them offer of 1 crore for 1% equity and 1 crore debt without interest. Amit Jain gave them the biggest offer in the history of Shark Tank but he failed to get the deal. Peyush joined Namita and Aman and they closed the deal for 2 crore in the exchange of 2% equity in the company. Namita Thapar after closing the deal, “Yeh to pata chal gaya ki yahan jo founders aate hain vo paise se jyada expertise pe dhyan dete hain.”
