Shark Tank India Season 2: The whole tank was transformed into a restaurant in the latest episode of Shark Tank India 2 as the owners of Daryaganj, butter chicken restaurant, came to present their brand for investment. Sharks were impressed with their food and the owner shared that his grandfather Kundan Lal Jaggi was a refugee who came to India after Independence and he started his restaurant in Delhi in 1947. He shared the story that butter chicken was invented by Kundan Lal Jaggi in 1947 when many people came to his shop and he didn’t have anything to serve.

Pitcher also claimed that Dal Makhani was also launched by Kundan Lal Jaggi. Sharks always tease Aman Gupta that he loves butter chicken more than anything. Vineeta Singh shared that Aman Gupta is the big fan of Daryganj chicken. She shared a story, “Two or three days ago, I was in Delhi with Aman and I told him to eat something. He continuously said that he want to go to Daryganj but I refused because I am vegetarian but he is very big fan of your butter chicken.” Aman Gupta also revealed that he tried different times to give an offer to them to be an investor in the company but he failed to do that.

Aman Gupta closed the deal

Namita Thapar and Peyush stepped out of the deal and Vineeta Singh gave them offer of 90 lakhs for 1% equity. Anupam Mittal gave the biggest offer of Shark Tank of 10 crore for 20% equity and 90 lakhs for 0.5% equity. The pitchers denied that offer and they talked to Aman Gupta about the deal as he gave the offer of 50 lakhs for 1% equity and 40 lakhs debt at 12% interest. They tried to convince and Vineeta stepped out after seeing that and they closed the deal of Aman Gupta of 90 lakhs for 0.75% equity.
