Shark Tank India Season 2: Namita Thapar and Aman Gupta questioned
Kashyap and Vidhey asked for 50 lakhs for 1% equity. They shared that they started the brand 7 months ago and they have sold only 1000 units. Sharks were unhappy with the sales and after seeing the product Namita said, “Yeh toh sirf upar se covered hai aur baarish toh side se bhi aati hai toh phir usse kaise bachenge.” Vidhey introduced another product which they sell along the canopy but Namita said that instead of that people can use raincoat. Aman Gupta also said, “India itna jugadu hai na ki isko main kisi se bhi banwa lunga 500 rupay deke.”
Peyush Bansal said the entrepreneurs inspired him
Anupam Mittal advised that they should try making canopy of scooters as majority of people use scooters in India. Amit Jain advised them to lower the cost of the product as Rs. 10000 is costly for the people who live in villages. Peyush Bansal offered them a deal of 50 lakhs for 2% equity. All of the Sharks advised Peyush to not make this deal but he said that he wants to do it. Peyush said, “Kam log hote hain jo inspire karte hain aur aap dono unhi logo mein ho kyunki Stanford ko thukrake yeh karna is inspiring. Maine entrepreneurs pe bet lagayi hai.”
