'Shershaah' is the biopic of Captain Vikram Batra. The film revolves around the events related to the victory of the country and personal life due to the valor and courage of Captain Batra in the Kargil war.

The Kargil war was by far the most difficult battle in the history of independent India. The country lost a lot in this historic war fought at an altitude of 17,000 feet. A lot was at stake. Pakistani soldiers disguised as Kashmiri terrorists had infiltrated into the Indian side along the Line of Control (LoC). The honor of the country was at stake. Our brave soldiers laid down their lives. Due to his incomparable courage and valor, he again raised the tricolor on the top of Kargil. The country lost its brave sons in this war. It is their martyrdom, due to which the head of the country is held high with pride and honour. Directed by Vishnu Vardhan and writer Sandeep Srivastava, the film begins with the childhood of Captain Vikram Batra (Siddharth Malhotra). He moves slowly but effectively.

The film's canvas grows alongside Vikram Batra. He finds his love in Dimple Cheema (Kiara Advani). Then there is a posting in the post of lieutenant in 13JAF Rifles. The writer-director has spent a lot of time in establishing Captain Batra as a character on screen. While there could be some speed in it. Not only this, whenever Kiara Advani comes on screen, most of the time is spent in romantic songs. This delay in reaching the original story on which the film is based, hurts you. Due to this the pace of the film also slows down. You may find the first half of the film slow.

It is also true that the task of showing the story of Captain Vikram Batra was not easy. Lots of facts, lots of action, lots of family and love in it. To sum it all up and to put the historic victory of Kargil war on the cinematic screen with the same spirit. It was all hard work. Most of the incidents happen in the second half of the film, so the film picks up the pace.

Overall 'Sher Shah' is a patriotic film. Many war scenes have been shown, but they could have been filmed on a larger scale. You, as a spectator, miss you as a spectator about the saga of courage that the country has suffered due to the Kargil war. However, given the kind of success that War Films has achieved so far in Bollywood, Shershaah's recent release is ahead of many films of this genre. It shows you a story that inspires as well.

The story of the film binds you. Seeing the brave soldiers in uniform fighting the enemies, standing for their soil till their last breath, all this evokes emotions in you as a spectator. 'Sher Shah's biggest victory is that it has tried to recreate one of the most important events in the recent history of the country. It also has a zeal and a 'high passion'.
