He uploaded this on his Instagram story and wrote, “Harassed for 20 mins empty Madurai airport by CRPF. They made my senior parents remove coins from their bags! And repeatedly talked to us in Hindi after being told to speak English. Rude AF :(. When we protested they said in India this is how it is. Jobless people showing off power.”

This year, Siddharth appeared in the web series Escaype Live on Disney+ Hotstar. It was set in the dark side of social media and starred Jaaved Jaaferi.

He was arrested by Hyedrabad Police in January

Siddharth got involved in a dispute in January when he was arrested by the Hyderabad Police's cybercrime wing for a tweet directed at star Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal. According to a senior police official, a case was filed under IPC Section 509 (word, gesture, or act intended to offend the modesty of women) and relevant parts of the Information Technology Act. He then apologized publicly, calling his remark a "rude joke" and admitting that he couldn't "justify my tone and words."
