Squid Game Season 2 Trailer: Netflix just released the trailer for the fan favorite show titled Squid Game Season 2. The new season features the same concept as the first, with every metric from the difficulty to risk of life turned up to 100.

The trailer for the second season shows Seong Gi-hun, also known as Player 456 (Played by Lee Jung-jae) making his way back in the game. However, this time he is out for revenge. Along with captivating visuals of the new games the trailer also showcases the new cast members, which includes Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young and Park Sung-hoon among others. At the helm of this expensive ship, with a lot riding on it is Hwang Dong-hyuk the man behind the series, who is also the first Asian to win Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series (For Squid Game).

The Hype And Spin Offs That Led To Squid Game Season 2

The release of the first season of Squid Game made it a instant fixture in the pop and meme culture. This also led to Mr. Beast, the most subscribed YouTuber on the planet to make his version of the game, which made headlines due to it's mind-blowing reception. Following this Netflix also released their spin-off series in 2023 titled Squid Game: The Challenge. The spin off featured 456 contestants who risk their lives for a chance to win $4.56 million. Both the spin-off did great among fans with the Mr. Beast video sitting at over 670 million views on YouTube.
