Sridevi Birthday Special: Today we are celebrating the birth anniversary of Bollywood's Chandani Sridevi. She was born on August 13, 1963 in the small village of Meenampatti in Tamil Nadu. Sridevi started working for the films when she was just four. Sridevi ruled the industry for 50 years, worked in many great films. Once upon a time she used to be the highest paid actress of Bollywood. She charged Rs 1 crore for one of her film.

First actress to charge 1 crore

During that era, usually only a hero used to get a fee in crores. But Sridevi was the exception who became the first actress of the industry to get a fee of one crore rupees. Sridevi started her film career with 'Solva Sawan' which was released in 1979. The film was a flop but through the film Himmatwala, in 1983, She made a strong comeback and then gave more hit films.
