Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli’s film SSMB 29 is already creating huge buzz. Fans are counting days for any update. Now, a fun online chat between Mahesh, Rajamouli, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran has taken excitement to another level. The banter teased the first look and almost confirmed the cast, making fans go crazy.
Mahesh Babu Loses Patience, Reminds SS Rajamouli Of His Promise
It began when Mahesh reminded Rajamouli about the promised November update. He wrote, “It’s November already.” Rajamouli replied with humour and asked which film Mahesh planned to “review” this month. Mahesh pushed again and said, “Your ‘forever in making’ Mahabharatha, Sir… First things first, you promised us something in November. Please keep up your word.”
Rajamouli promised updates step-by-step. But Mahesh didn’t stop. He joked, “How slow, sir…? Shall we start in 2030?” He then tagged Priyanka Chopra and said she had been posting Hyderabad glimpses since January. That’s when Priyanka joined the chat.
She replied, “Helloooo!! Hero!!! You want me to leak all the stories you share with me on set? Mind lo fix aithe blind ga esestha..” Her fun warning confirmed she is part of the film.
Rajamouli then teased Mahesh and said he spoiled the surprise. Mahesh didn’t stop and pulled Prithviraj Sukumaran into the chat too. He wrote, “Surprise aaa? You mean to say Prithviraj is also a surprise?”
Prithviraj joined and joked, “I’m running out of alibis for these Hyderabad ‘vacations.’ If I keep this up any longer, my family will start doubting me.” His reply confirmed he is playing a key role, likely the villain.
Rajamouli later joked that Mahesh’s sarcasm might delay the first-look release. Prithviraj teased that Rajamouli always loves his villains the most. Mahesh added that Rajamouli “saves the best for last.”

SSMB29 (GlobeTrotter) is the working title for a new jungle adventure film. It is directed by SS Rajamouli and stars Mahesh Babu in the lead role. He plays a tough explorer inspired by Indiana Jones, with hints of Hanuman in his character. Priyanka Chopra is said to play a determined historian named Dr Anjali. Prithviraj Sukumaran will be seen as the main villain.
The film is mounted on a huge budget, reportedly over Rs 1,000 crore. The story travels around the world and has a strong link to the holy city of Kashi. Vijayendra Prasad, the writer behind Baahubali and RRR, has written the story. The team has shot in Africa, including Kenya and Tanzania, and in India, including Odisha. Large sets have also been built in Hyderabad. The film is expected to be released in 2027 and is touted as one of the biggest Indian films ever made.
