Ramayana is already one of the most talked-about films and its latest teaser screening has added to the buzz. Ranbir Kapoor unveiled the first visuals of Nitesh Tiwari’s epic at a special IMAX event in Los Angeles on March 31, 2026. While the event impressed the audience present, the absence of Yash didn’t go unnoticed.
Producer Namit Malhotra joined Ranbir as they presented a 2-minute and 38-second teaser titled Rama. The screening was attended by film students and industry professionals, making it a global showcase. However, Yash, who plays Ravana and is also a co-producer, was missing. Ranbir Kapoor Calls Ramayana ‘Labour Of Love’ At LA Event
Despite the online reactions, the teaser received a great response at the venue. Ranbir Kapoor spoke about his role and called Lord Rama the “conscience keeper of billions”. He also said that the character stands for compassion, courage, righteousness and forgiveness.
He described the film as a “very special moment” and a true “labour of love”. He added that playing Maryada Purushottam is both exciting and meaningful for him.
The event also included a Q&A session with Nitesh Tiwari and Namit Malhotra. Reports suggest that the teaser got a roaring response, with viewers praising its grand visuals and storytelling.
For fans in India, the wait is almost over. The teaser will release globally on April 2, 2026, on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. It has already received a ‘U’ certificate from the CBFC.
