Sushant Singh Rajput death case investigation has once again caught pace after family claimed officials of sidetracking it.
The panel of Delhi's prestigious All-India Institute of Medical Sciences has re-evaluated actor's post mortem and viscera reports. The panel led by Dr Sudhir Gupta submitted its full fledged report to CBI on Monday.
Suicide or Murder?
Many theories have been making rounds since the actor was found dead at his residence in Mumbai. A number of pictures and videos that went viral showed some mark on actor's body, leading to suspension of foul play in the case which was assumed to be suicide.
The finding of AIIMS doctors' panel will be taken as expert opinion in the case. Based on the report submitted, the CBI will now analyse if the case is of suicide or not.
"AIIMS and CBI are in agreement on the Sushant Singh Rajput death case but more deliberations are needed. There is a need to look into some legal aspects for a logical legal conclusion in due course of time. It will be totally conclusive," Gupta told ANI.
Sushant's family lawyer, Vikas Singh, had earlier claimed as per AIIMS doctors' report, the cause of the actor's death was "200% strangulation".
"Getting frustrated by the delay in CBI taking a decision to convert abetment to suicide to murder of SSR [Sushant Singh Rajput].
"The Doctor who is part of AIIMS team had told me long back that the photos sent by me indicated 200% that it’s death by strangulation and not suicide," he said.
"No conclusive opinion could be made just by seeing pictures," Dr Gupta had said.
Meanwhile, in response to Vikas Singh's statement, Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer, Satish Manshinde, demanded the formation of a new medical board to investigate the case.
Moreover, the CBI investigation has not found any evidence in the case so far. Therefore, they will heavily rely on AIIMS report. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the CBI had approached AIIMS for their expert opinion.
