The internet has been taken over by one thing for the past couple of days: Lalit Modi and Sushmita Sen’s relationship.
Almost everyone on social media has an opinion and is not afraid to express it either. As soon as Lalit Modi made the announcement, the internet was flooded with memes about these people that no one really knows personally.
Of course, the top assumption was that Sushmita Sen is in a relationship for money. This goes beloved icon and former Miss Universe was called a ‘gold-digger’ who was only in it for the money.
Of course, the confident actress didn’t keep quiet. Despite not owing anyone an explanation, she made sure to clap back at the world for calling her a ‘gold-digger’. The actor shared a post calling out people on the misogyny, and also assuming that she ‘needs a man for money.’
“I dig deeper than Gold…and I’ve always (famously) preferred Diamonds!!😉😁❤️And yes I still buy them myself!!!” quipped the actress via an Instagram caption.
Like always, she had the perfect response to shut down people who judge others as a hobby. Of course, she shouldn’t have had to leave a clarification, but the internet clearly didn’t leave her with an option.
