The couple has signed the papers in the court under the Special Marriage Act and are now gearing for their ‘shehnaai wali shadi’. For those who don’t know, Swara had announced her wedding with Fahad, who is a Samajwadi Party leader, last month. Now, their wedding invitation has gone viral, and it is as quirky as their love story.

Swara Bhasker and Fahad Ahmed will marry in traditional ceremony this month. The couple’s wedding preparations are in full swing. Amid this, their wedding invitation has gone viral. The illustrious card shows a bride in red lehenga and a groom in beige sherwani a along with their cat looking at a protest from a window. The protest has several people holding rallies and raising slogans such as ‘Hum Kagaz Nahi Dikhayenge’, ‘Love is the greatest revolution’ and ‘Hum Sad Ek Hain’. “We had the opportunity to work on the wedding invite for the fearless and fabulous @reallyswara and @fahadzirarahmad,” the artists who designed the cards wrote in their caption.
“Swara and Fahad wanted the invite to capture how they met and fell for each other during a citizen protest, their memories of Mumbai and Marine Drive, their abiding love for the movies, and of course, for their beautiful cat, Ghalib,” it added.

They began as friends and eventually fell in love. “Sometimes you search far & wide for something that was right next to you all along. We were looking for love, but we found friendship first.
