Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s upcoming horror comedy Thama is already grabbing attention. Fans have been waiting for updates ever since Rashmika shared behind-the-scenes pictures during the shoot. Now, Maddock Films has confirmed that the first look will arrive soon.
Thama First Glimpse Drops Next Week
On Independence Day 2025, which also marks the first anniversary of Stree 2, the makers announced that Thama’s first glimpse will be out on Tuesday, August 19.
They shared on social media, “Independence Day Special! The No. 1 Hindi film Stree 2 turns 1 today. To celebrate, Dinesh Vijan expands the Maddock Horror-Comedy Universe with #THAMA. The World of Thama unveils Tuesday, Aug 19 – your first glimpse at the sarvashaktishali villain set to redefine fear.”
Malaika Arora And Nora Fatehi To Have Dance Numbers In Ayushmann Khurrana Starrer
The film also promises glamour and energy with two special dance numbers by Malaika Arora and Nora Fatehi. Reports say Malaika filmed her song months ago, while Nora recently completed her shoot. Malaika’s track will appear at an important point in the story, while Nora’s performance is expected to be a promotional number played during the end credits.
This isn’t Ayushmann’s first time sharing screen space with the two. In An Action Hero, Malaika appeared in a retro version of Aap Jaisa Koi, and Nora featured in the hit Jehda Nasha.
About Thama: Story And Cast
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Thama follows the journey of a determined historian who studies ancient manuscripts and uncovers chilling truths about local vampire myths. As the research progresses, strange supernatural events begin to threaten reality.
The cast also includes Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in important roles. The film is backed by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, with a screenplay written by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Fulara. This marks the first collaboration between Rashmika, Ayushmann, and Sarpotdar in the Maddock Horror-Comedy Universe.
