Thamma Advance Booking: Thamma and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat are set to clash at the box office this festive season. While both films have generated significant buzz, Thamma has emerged as the frontrunner in advance ticket sales, indicating a promising opening.

Thamma Advance Booking Report

According to Sacnilk, Thamma has so far earned Rs 1.63 crore in advance booking, with block bookings pushing the total to Rs 5.03 crore. The film has sold 57,382 tickets across 10,351 shows, with Delhi, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh leading in sales.

In contrast, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has earned Rs 52.91 lakh in advance bookings, reaching Rs 1.52 crore with block bookings. The film has sold 18,150 tickets across 3,362 shows, with Delhi contributing Rs31.71 lakh to the total.

About Thamma

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Thamma is the fifth instalment in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana as Alok, Rashmika Mandanna as Tadaka, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a pivotal role.

Set against a mystical backdrop, the story follows two destined lovers battling supernatural forces to protect their forbidden romance. The film has received a U/A 16+ certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and has a runtime of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Principal photography began in December 2024, with shooting locations including Delhi, Mumbai, and Ooty. The soundtrack is composed by Sachin-Jigar.

About Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat

Directed by Milap Zaveri, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is a Hindi romantic drama starring Harshvardhan Rane as Vikramaditya and Sonam Bajwa as Adaa Randhawa. The film delves into the complexities of love, passion, and obsession, exploring the emotional turmoil that comes with intense relationships.

The film has received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) due to its mature content and has a runtime of 2 hours and 20 minutes. The musical score is composed by Kunaal Vermaa, Kaushik-Guddu, and others, featuring the song “Dil Dil Dil,” a remake from the 1996 film Ghatak: Lethal.

The production of the film was marked by emotional intensity, with reports suggesting that Harshvardhan Rane broke down during a dubbing session, reflecting the depth of the film’s themes.

Both films are scheduled for theatrical release on October 21, 2025.
