Thamma Vs Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat Box Office Collection Day 8: Ayushmann Khurrana Starrer Crosses Lifetime Earnings Of Munjya, Gets Tough Competition From Harshvardhan Rane’s Film

Ayushmann Khurrana’s Thamma crosses Rs 100 crore in eight days, while Harshvardhan Rane’s Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat nears Rs 50 crore with steady growth.

Ayushmann Khurrana’s Thamma is holding steady at the box office despite a competitive week. After a dip on its first Monday, the film bounced back with a solid performance on Day 8. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the horror-comedy stars Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui alongside Ayushmann in lead roles.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Thamma collected Rs 5.5 crore on its second Tuesday, marking a 27.9% jump from Monday’s earnings. With this, the film’s total domestic collection has reached Rs 101.1 crore, crossing the Rs 100 crore mark within just eight days of release.

A key factor behind this rebound was the Rs 99 ticket offer introduced by the makers. The offer encouraged strong footfall across theatres, resulting in an overall occupancy of 18.53%. Morning shows began at 7.87%, climbed to 16.37% in the afternoon, and peaked close to 30% by night.

Delhi-NCR led the chart with over 1,100 shows and 20% occupancy, while Mumbai recorded 22% with 751 screens. Despite the boost, Thamma continues to face tight competition from Harshvardhan Rane’s romantic drama Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat.

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat Box Office Collection Day 8

Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has shown a consistent run through its second week. The film collected Rs 4.35 crore on Day 8, after making Rs 3.5 crore on Monday, taking its total domestic box office to Rs 49.35 crore. While the film trails Thamma in overall revenue, its success is remarkable considering its smaller scale and limited promotions.

With a budget of Rs 25 crore, the film has already recovered its cost within just over a week. It has also surpassed the lifetime earnings of Sanam Teri Kasam (Rs 42.28 crore), marking a solid achievement for Harshvardhan Rane.

Even with strong collections, both Thamma and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat face new challenges. Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 remains unstoppable in its fourth week, nearing the Rs 600 crore mark. Adding to the competition, SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali The Epic is set for a re-release, which could impact their screen share and audience numbers.

For Thamma, the next few days will be decisive. With a reported budget of Rs 145 crore, it still has a distance to cover before turning profitable. The film’s second-week performance will determine whether it continues its strong run or slows down amid rising competition.

Both films have about a week’s window before new releases hit theatres. Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi’s Haq arrives next, followed by Ajay Devgn’s De De Pyaar De 2, which will further intensify the box office battle.
