Filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri is back with another intense story. This time, he’s diving into the turbulent political and cultural history of Bengal. Titled The Bengal Files: Right to Life, the film is the final part of his Files trilogy and is set to release on September 5. The just-released teaser has already sparked debate.

The chilling video opens with a voice declaring, “Main ek Kashmiri Pandit hoon, islye yakeen ke sath keh sakta hoon ki Bengal ek dusra Kashmir banta ja raha hai.” It sets the tone for what appears to be an emotionally and politically loaded film.

About The Film

The film stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Saswata Chatterjee, Darshan Kumar and Puneet Issar. All make brief appearances in the teaser, suggesting a layered narrative with complex characters.

Directed and written by Agnihotri, the film follows the filmmaker’s previous projects (The Tashkent Files and The Kashmir Files) both of which stirred major public reactions. With The Bengal Files, he appears ready to dig deep into the Great Calcutta Killings and Bengal’s troubled history.
