The Family Man 3 Review: ‘What Have You Done…’ Why Netizens Are DISAPPOINTED With Raj & DK After Watching Manoj Bajpayee’s Much-Awaited Threequel

Raj & Dk’s much-awaited The Family Man 3 has finally arrived on Prime Video, and fans wasted no time diving straight into the new chapters of Srikant Tiwari’s chaotic life. The series dropped on November 21 and came with a lot of hype. That’s because it features a crossover with Farzi and brings Manoj Bajpayee and Jaideep Ahlawat together on screen. Viewers had been waiting for months, and the trailer only pushed excitement higher.

But now that the seven episodes are out, reactions are mixed. Some viewers enjoyed the new season and felt that the show stayed true to its gritty world. Others felt let down and claimed the threequel failed to match the thrill and freshness of the previous seasons. Social media is full of debates, and fans are openly discussing what worked and what clearly didn’t.

The Family Man 3 Review: Netizens Share Mixed Response

The show opens with Srikant Tiwari on the run and dealing with one of the biggest threats of his career. While a few fans praised Manoj Bajpayee’s performance, many felt the writing this time lacked the punch the franchise is known for.

One user wrote, “#TheFamilyManSeason3 It was good, but could’ve been better. This time, Srikant Tiwari nailed his role as the wanted man, but fell a little short as the family man Raj & DK’s universe is on. The cameos were excellent. That ending, they really left it hanging.”

Another viewer expressed strong disappointment and tweeted, “What have you done @rajndk to one of our favourite series!!! You even followed the same story base ‘Indian Govt and Indian Agencies fight against some indian born Private Organisation’ like Pathan, Special Ops more like that. Where is that Rawness? Disappointed .”

A netizen added, “Too boringgggg. No suspense, no drama, no thrill, just decent acting. Season 3 felt like a dragged sequel with zero storyline. 6 hours wasted and expectations killed. Doubt they’ll even risk a Season 4 after this mess. #FamilyManSeason3.”

Another user review said, “WEAKEST SEASON. Bad writing and unnecessary drama kill the interest right from Ep 1. Ep 2 is good, but everything goes downhill after that. #ManojBajpayee doesn’t have the spark or standout moments he had in Season 2. Makers completely wasted #JaideepAhlawat and #NimratKaur. You’ll need a lot of patience and FALTU time to sit through this one.”

Despite the backlash, a few viewers still appreciated the effort and said the season had its moments, even though it felt uneven.

What The Family Man 3 Is About

This season digs deeper into Srikant Tiwari’s life as he becomes a wanted man after a negotiation mission in Nagaland takes a fatal turn. His boss is killed, and Srikant finds himself framed for the attack. With the government hunting him and a dangerous conspiracy unfolding, he is forced to go underground to protect his family.

The story shifts to Northeast India and explores a new geopolitical plot involving China’s “Project Guan Yu.” The new antagonists, Rukma (Jaideep Ahlawat) and Meera (Nimrat Kaur), bring fresh conflict, but viewers feel they weren’t utilised well enough.

Even as Srikant deals with national threats, he continues struggling with his personal life—a core theme that has defined the series since season one. The show tries to maintain its mix of action, emotion, and dark humour, but fans feel the execution this time is inconsistent.
