Ezra Miller, the actor, pled guilty to a charge coming from a break-in and theft of wine at a neighbor’s home in Vermont, one of a slew of arrests and reports of erratic behavior from Hawaii to New England last year. He agreed on Friday to enter the plea and comply with the restrictions in order to escape a three-month jail sentence for a misdemeanor charge of unlawful trespass. Ezra will pay a $500 fine and a court charge, serve a year on probation, and comply with a number of conditions, including ongoing mental health treatment.

The actor has been in multiple Justice League films and will next be seen in The Flash. Two other counts were dismissed, including a felony burglary allegation that could have resulted in a 25-year jail sentence. Judge Kerry Ann McDonald-Cady of Vermont Superior Court told Ezra that if they did not follow the terms of their probation, the criminal case will be re-filed. Ezra (30) acknowledged the judge’s inquiries but declined to make a statement during the approximately 30-minute hearing in Bennington. However, following the hearing, Ezra’s attorney, Lisa Shelkrot, issued a statement on his behalf.

In the statement, it was stated that “Ezra would like to thank the court and the community for their trust and patience throughout this process, and would once again like to acknowledge the love and support they have got from their family and friends, who continue to be a vital presence in their ongoing mental health.” In Vermont, Ezra admitted to stealing alcohol from a neighbor’s house in October of last year but pleaded not guilty.
