The Legend of Maula Jatt to not release in India, MNS leader calls it 'Impact of Raj Thackeray's Warning'

The Legend of Maula Jatt: The release of Pakistani film The Legend of Maula Jatt in India has been postponed. According to an INOX official, the distributors have cancelled the December 30 release date and have yet to announce a new date. The Legend of Maula Jatt, directed by Bilal Lashari and starring actors Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan, has been a big success at the box office around the world. The picture has also gained widespread critical praise.

Zee Studios bought the rights of The Legend of Maula Jatt

"The distributors have notified us that the film's release date has been pushed back. This was revealed to us two or three days ago. We have not been given a new date "According to a PTI report, an INOX official said. ”Zee Studios had acquired the rights to The film because they expected the film to fare well," the person stated. However, due to opposition from certain segments, the decision was reached not to distribute the film."

MNS leader calls it 'Impact of Raj Thackeray's Warning'

It went on to say that the film was listed for a Friday release on the official Instagram account of multiplex company PVR Cinemas earlier this week, but the image was swiftly removed. Ameya Khopkar, leader of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and president of its movie branch, tweeted about the cancellation of The film and added, "Impact Of Raj Thackeray's Warning! Following MNS's warning, the screening of the Pakistani film 'The Legend of Maula Jatt' has been cancelled entirely. This film will not be released in the state or anywhere else in the country."

If somebody has feelings of affection for Pakistani artists, he continued, "This one warning is enough for them. Congratulations to all of my colleagues on the MNS movement's success."
