The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 5: Prabhas Starrer SHOCKS With Constant Decline, Hindi Version Earns Less Than Dhurandhar – Check Figures!

The Raja Saab continues to struggle at the box office as collections drop again on Day 5. The Prabhas starrer is performing worse compared to Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar.

The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 5: Prabhas’ The Raja Saab is losing steam at the box office as it saw another sharp fall in collections on Day 5. Despite a big opening and strong pre-release hype, the film has failed to hold steady. This unexpected drop has surprised both fans and trade analysts. Adding to the concern, the Hindi version is earning even less than Ranveer Singh‘s Dhurandhar, which is already in its sixth week.

The horror comedy, which marked Prabhas’ shift to a lighter and more experimental genre, started on a promising note. However, the early momentum did not last long. Compared to his recent blockbusters Salaar and Kalki 2898 AD, The Raja Saab has struggled to connect with audiences.

The Raja Saab Box Office Collection Day 5

As reported by Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 9.15 crore from its premiere shows. On Day 1, it posted a strong Rs 53.75 crore, driven mainly by the Telugu version, which contributed Rs 47 crore. The Hindi version collected Rs 6 crore, while Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions added marginal numbers. The drop began soon after. Day 2 collections fell to Rs 26 crore, followed by Rs 19.1 crore on Day 3.

The situation worsened during the weekdays. On Day 4, The Raja Saab managed to collect Rs 6.6 crore. Early estimates for Day 5 suggest earnings of just Rs 4.85 crore nett across all languages in India. With this, the film’s total collection stands at around Rs 119.45 crore. Given the film’s massive scale and expectations, these numbers are being seen as disappointing.

About The Film

Released on January 9, 2026, The Raja Saab tells the story of Raja (Prabhas), a caring grandson who looks after his grandmother Gangamma (Zarina Wahab), an Alzheimer’s patient searching for her missing husband, Kanakaraju (Sanjay Dutt). To fulfil her wish, Raja travels to Hyderabad and comes across a large ancestral mansion haunted by a sinister force. While the concept promised a fun mix of royal drama, horror and comedy, many felt the storytelling lacked focus and emotional depth.

The film features Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Boman Irani and Brahmanandam. Viewers noted that the female leads did not get enough scope. Made on an estimated budget of Rs 400–450 crore, the film includes India’s largest indoor film set and extensive VFX work. Even so, critics felt the visuals and overall execution did not meet expectations.

Trade experts have already tagged The Raja Saab a “box office disaster”. The weak screenplay, long 183-minute runtime and inconsistent VFX have hurt the film badly. Poor word-of-mouth has further impacted footfalls.

Earlier, Prabhas had expressed strong faith in the project. He said, “The three years of stress and responsibility of Raja Saab brought tears to Maruthi garu’s eyes.” He had also shared that the film was meant to be a complete entertainer. For now, audience interest seems to be fading, and the coming days will be crucial for the film’s box office fate.
