Prabhas’ upcoming film The Raja Saab is set to release this Friday. The buzz around the film is growing fast. Fans are excited about its horror-comedy theme, grand scale and Prabhas’ return to a lighter genre. As promotions continue, new details about the film’s runtime and censor clearance have come out. The makers completed the CBFC process early. While most of the film passed without trouble, a few intense scenes needed changes.
The Central Board of Film Certification did not ask for any cuts to dialogues or romantic moments. Those scenes remain untouched. However, two violent visuals were flagged during the review.
One scene showed blood being washed on the floor. The CBFC asked the makers to tone it down. The team changed the scene to black and white to reduce its impact. Another scene involved a beheading. That moment was shortened by four seconds and converted into quick flash visuals.
After these edits, the film received a U/A 16+ certificate on December 24, 2025.
The Raja Saab Runtime And Box Office Clash
As per the censor certificate, The Raja Saab runtime is 189 minutes. That means the film runs for 3 hours and 9 minutes.
This makes it one of the longest big releases this season. The film will also face box office competition from Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan. Vijay’s film is reportedly 3 hours and 3 minutes long. This makes Prabhas’ film slightly longer by comparison.
Both films releasing with long runtimes has sparked online debate. Many fans are curious to see how audiences respond to back-to-back extended theatrical experiences.
