The Romantics Trailer: Netflix on Wednesday released the trailer of ‘The Romantics’, a four-part docu-series celebrating legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra and YRF’s 50 year – career.
The late Yash Chopra and his son Aditya Chopra have entertained the audience for 50 years. They made generations fall in love with their on-screen characters in films like Silsila, Lamhe, Kabhi Kabhie, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Veer-Zaara, Dil To Pagal Hai, Chandni, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Ek Tha Tiger, Dhoom series and more.
Hindi cinema through the lens of YRF
In the docu-series The Romantics, 35 celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Rishi Kapoor and many others, who worked closely with YRF, have come together to discuss the history of Hindi cinema through the lens of YRF. The series also highlights the three generations of actors that the production company has influenced.
The Romantics trailer begins with several celebs reacting to the term ‘Bollywood’. Salman Khan’s father Salim Khan is heard saying, ‘No I don’t like that word’. Ranbir Kapoor says, ‘Hate it.” Rani Mukerji and Ranveer Singh also speak about how Yash Chopra believed in them and their talent.
Celebs in the documentary express surprise when they find out discover that Aditya Chopra, who has always been private about his life, has been interviewed for this docu-series. Aditya will be seen on camera after 20 years. He gave his last interview to a magazine in 1995. The ace director and producer will share insights about YRF.

Smriti Mundhra directs the Romantics
Smriti Mundhra, who earlier worked on Indian Matchmaking and the Never Have I Ever franchises has directed the docu-series. Netflix will release The Romantics on February 14 as a tribute to the ‘Father of Romance’ Yash Chopra.
Meanwhile, YRF’s latest release Pathaan starring SRK, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone has shattered several box office records.
