'The Values My Father...' Sonakshi Sinha's Caliberated Response to Shaktiman Mukesh Khanna Generates Reactions

Sonakshi Sinha: When someone brings forth the mistake you made years back again and again, it can irritate you. Well, something similar happened with Sonakshi Sinha when she came across a statement that criticised her for her mistake. Recently, Sonakshi gave a robust reply to veteran actor Mukesh Khanna for making remarks on her upbringing. She warned the actor to not say anything about her father Shatrughan Sinha and the values he instilled in her. Her statement is generating major reactions on different social media sites. 

Sonakshi Sinha's Angered Statement 

Sonakshi Sinha is the daughter of Shatrughan Sinha, whose family name, house, and everything is based on Ramayana. When the actress read a statement of Mukesh Khanna aka Shaktiman about her, she couldn't help but slam the actor for bringing back the same issue time and again.

In her Instagram story, She wrote, "Dear Sir, Mukesh Khanna Ji... I recently read a statement you made saying that it's my father's fault that I did not answer a question about the Ramayana on a show I attended many many years back. Firstly, let me remind you there were two women on the hot seat that day, who did not know the answer to the same question. But you choose to keep taking my name, and only my name, for reasons which are quite obvious. Yes I may have blanked out that day, a human tendency, and forgotten who the sanjeevani booti was brought for. But, clearly you have also forgotten some of the lessons of forgive and forget taught by lord Ram himself. If lord Ram can forgive Manthara, can forgive Kaikeyi, if he can forgive Ravan after the great battle was done... Surely you can let go of this extremely small thing in comparison. Not that I need your forgiveness. But yes I definitely need you to forget and stop bringing up the same incident time and again to be back in the news at the expense of me and my family." 

Sonakshi also referred to any future incident that may happen. She said, "And lastly, the next time you decide to say anything about the values my father has instilled in me... please remember it's because of those values that I have only said what I said, very respectfully, after you decided to make some distasteful statements about my upbringing. I wish you well, thanks and regard. Sonakshi Sinha." 

Mukesh Khanna's THIS statement Angered Sonakshi

In an interview, Mukesh Khanna talked about Ramayana matter. Mukesh was talking to Siddharth Kannan, he said, "I think kids today need the guidance of Shaktiman more than the kids in 1970s. Today's kids are being sidetracked by the internet. " He further said, "One girl couldn't answer for whom lord Hanuman brought the sanjeevni booti." Mukesh clarified the name of Sonakshi Sinha. He said, "Yes this happened despite her being the daughter of Shatrughan Sinha. Her brothers' names are Luv and Kush." He further added, "People were angry that Sonakshi Sinha didn't know this, but I would say it's not her fault, it's her father's fault. Why didn't they teach their children this? Why did they become so modern? If I were Shaktiman today, I would make kids sit down and teach them about Indian culture and Sanatan Dharma." 

What was Sonakshi Sinha's Blunder?

In 2020, Sonakshi Sinha attended the KBC aka Kaun Banega Crorepati 11. When Amitabh Bachchan asked the question for 1 Lakh 60 Thousands. But, due to confusion, Sonakshi couldn't answer the question and asked for Expert's help. Later, Amitabh Bachchan reminded her about her father's name, his brothers name, her house's name which became viral among the Indian fans. On the occasion, her mother was also present.

Netizens React to the Clash

Netizens are giving mixed reactions to Sonakshi's statement. They are criticising Mukesh Khanna and wondering about Sonakshi's background. 

They said, "No wonder Mukesh Khanna is single!" "Oh that’s why the name Bheeshma for his production house?" "If burning your own legacy had a name …Mukesh Khanna it would be!"

One user wrote, "With Sonakshi on this one,she has gracefully responded and took a stand rightfully for her and her family. Mukesh has been going on and criticising and giving unwanted comments on others for anything. Why can't he stop being preachy and focus on his work instead of making shady or distasteful comments on other actors? Just because he is a senior actor, people are giving that respect and ignoring his unwanted comments."  

Another wrote, "Bruh is stuck in some long gone timeframe and making a fool of himself. Playing religious/moral police over and over again. Unsolicited. Not a fan of Sonakshi personally - but - what she said is probably what I would've said too."
