Pawan Kalyan starrer action thriller They Call Him OG had a strong start at the box office but saw no big growth on its third day. Produced by DVV Entertainment, the film has drawn attention for the actor’s star power and the challenge of keeping audience interest high after the opening days.
They Call Him OG Box Office Collection Day 3
The film earned Rs 21 crore from preview shows on Wednesday, followed by Rs 63.75 crore on its first official day. Day 2 collections fell to Rs 18.75 crore, and Saturday saw another dip to Rs 18.5 crore. The total domestic collection now stands at Rs 122 crore.
While this makes They Call Him OG Pawan Kalyan’s highest-grossing film (surpassing Bheemla Nayak in just two days) the lack of weekend growth raises concerns about its long-term performance. Analysts note this is common for overhyped South Indian films, which earn big initially but slow down quickly.
The Telugu version performed the best, with an overall occupancy of 42.08 percent across 2,583 shows. Kakinada led with 59.67 percent, Hyderabad followed at 51.67 percent, and Warangal recorded 50.33 percent. The Tamil version had 15.57 percent occupancy, while the Hindi version drew only 8.07 percent.
Alongside Pawan Kalyan, the film stars Emraan Hashmi, Priyanka Arul Mohan, Prakash Raj, Sriya Reddy, and Arjun Das. It released in multiple languages on September 25, 2025, across theatres nationwide.

Comparisons With Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly
After the release, fans compared OG with Ajith’s Tamil film Good Bad Ugly. Director Sujeeth clarified that the OG teaser came out before Ajith began writing his story. He also said similarities in stunts and songs in later releases caused confusion but expressed respect for Ajith.
Is They Call Him OG Hit Or Flop?
Despite the Saturday dip, They Call Him OG has a potential to be the commercial success so far. It has covered huge part of budget (reportedly Rs 250 cr) from its record breaking start. If it continues to hold just for a few days more, the film can emerge as HIT.
The question now is whether it can maintain momentum and avoid the steep drop often seen with overhyped South Indian films. Audiences and trade experts will be watching closely to see if Pawan Kalyan’s film can hold steady at the box office.
