Ameesha Patel has left everyone surprised with her latest confession. The Gadar 2 actress shared her long-time admiration for Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise. She called him her “forever crush” and admitted he is the only man who could make her compromise on her personal principles.
What Ameesha Patel Said About Tom Cruise?
Speaking on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, Ameesha shared her teenage obsession with the Mission Impossible star. She revealed, “I have a crush on Tom Cruise. If you can do a podcast with him, please invite me to it. I’ve loved Tom Cruise since childhood. I had his picture in my pencil box. I had his picture in my files.”
She added, “The only poster I had in my room was of Tom Cruise. He’s my forever crush. I always joke that he’s the only man I can put my principles aside for. I can do anything for him. If you ask if I could have a one-night stand with him, yes, I can.”
Why Ameesha Patel Never Married
Alongside her bold remarks about Tom Cruise, Ameesha opened up about her personal life and why she never married.
She said, “I never used to chase boys in school. They used to do that. I have got a lot of proposals since then, and they continue to come till now. But a lot of the people I met wanted me to stay at home and not work after marriage, and that didn’t sit right with me.”
For Ameesha, independence is very important. She added, “I wanted to become Ameesha Patel first, because I had already spent so much of my life being someone’s daughter, and I didn’t want to spend my adulthood as just someone’s wife.”
Ameesha is still open to marriage if she finds the right person. She explained, “I am all up for marriage, as long as I find someone worthy. They say that ‘Where there is a will, there is a way,’ so the person who finds me through everything and mauke par chauka maarlege will be my person.”
She also said she still receives many proposals, even from men younger than her, but mental maturity matters more than age. “I still get all kinds of proposals from a lot of well-to-do families. People half my age want to take me out on a date, and I am open to it because a man has to be mentally mature. I have met a lot of people older than me who have the IQ of a fly.”
Tom Cruise And Ameesha Patel’s Work Front
Tom Cruise has several exciting films coming up. His next release is an untitled Alejandro G. Iñárritu film on (October 2) where he plays “the most powerful man in the world” trying to save humanity from a disaster he caused.
The cast also includes Jesse Plemons, Sandra Hüller and John Goodman. He will star in Broadsword, a World War II film directed by Christopher McQuarrie. Tom will be seen as a Marine sergeant on a risky mission in France. Top Gun 3 is also in the works and Cruise will be returning as Maverick alongside Miles Teller and Glen Powell.
Meanwhile, Ameesha Patel hasn’t announced her next project since Gadar 2.
