Toxic Postponed: The highly anticipated Yash-starrer Toxic has been officially postponed from March 19 to June 4, 2026. While some industry insiders speculated that the delay was to avoid a clash with Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2, the producers said the shift was due to operational challenges and uncertainty in the Middle East.

While Toxic avoids a clash with Dhurandhar 2, the June 4 release may now compete with Varun Dhawan’s Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, set for June 5. Other late-June releases affected could include Shahid Kapoor’s Cocktail 2 and Akshay Kumar’s Welcome to The Jungle.
About Toxic And Dhurandhar 2
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic has created a buzz with its high-energy action and star-studded cast. Alongside Yash, the film stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria. Yash plays dual roles as Raya and Ticket in this Rs 600–700 crore period gangster thriller set against the Goa drug cartel from the 1940s to 1970s.
The film features large-scale action sequences choreographed by Hollywood’s JJ Perry and has a runtime of 3 hours and 20 minutes. Originally set to clash with Dhurandhar 2, Toxic’s postponement now gives Ranveer Singh’s spy thriller a clear opening with a solo release in March.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Dhurandhar 2), directed by Aditya Dhar, stars Ranveer Singh as undercover agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi. The sequel to the 2025 blockbuster follows Hamza as he infiltrates Pakistan’s power structures to avenge the 26/11 attacks, confronting Arjun Rampal’s Major Iqbal.
Scheduled for March 19, 2026, during Eid and Gudi Padwa, Dhurandhar 2 now enjoys a solo release slot after Toxic’s delay. With strong overseas advance bookings, the film is expected to dominate the box office during its opening weekend. Its runtime of 3 hours and 55 minutes makes it one of Bollywood’s longest modern releases.
