The big India debut of Travis Scott didn’t go as fans expected. The American rapper performed at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Saturday (October 18) as part of his Circus Maximus world tour. The event was said to be sold out, but social media tells a different story with empty seats, dull energy and many disappointed fans.
Fans Call Out ‘Dead Crowd’ At Delhi Concert Of Travis Scott
A woman from Delhi shared a video from the concert that quickly went viral. In the clip, she was seen dancing alone while the crowd around her barely moved. She wrote, “Main akele vibe karke kitna bacha paugi Travis? Sach toh ye hai ki crowd aur concert dono dead the. I already know he doesn’t wanna show up on 19th now.”
One person commented, “Trust me… he’s not coming back ever again… dead crowd, half empty arena, people just know 2-3 songs… 90% of the crowd is uni kids trying to fit in pop culture and they’re there to just make snaps and reels.”
Another fan wrote, “Aur kharido tickets bulk mein.”
Some people said the concert felt awkward and lifeless. But others claimed that the standing zones were full of energy. A user replied, “I hate to break it to you, but silver standing was full rage, idk what shit you’ve been up to.”
Videos from the Gold and Silver areas show fans jumping, shouting, and forming mosh pits. The crowd there seemed to come alive, especially during Travis’s song “FE!N.” It looked like the vibe depended on where you were standing.
A user on X (formerly Twitter) said, “Travis Scott IS NOT coming back to India. From rage concert in South Africa to the calmest concert of his career in India… Stadium not full even after tickets were sold out… people knowing 2-3 songs… whole crowd is just wannabe uni students who wanna post stories and reels to fit in.”
Some blamed the low energy on the long wait and the heat. Others said the audience simply didn’t match Travis Scott’s wild concert style.
Heavy Security At The Event
Over 3,400 personnel were deployed at the Delhi show. This included around 1,600 private security staff and up to 1,800 Delhi Police officers. The organisers had promised smooth entry, safety, and a great fan experience.
Still, many people left feeling let down. For an artist famous for explosive live shows, this one just didn’t deliver the same energy.
Travis Scott will now perform in Mumbai on November 19.
