Twitter blasts The Academy for cutting off Guneet Monga’s speech as The Elephant Whisperers wins an Oscar: ‘Do Better’

The Indian Documentary short film ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ brought The Academy Award home in the category of ‘Best Documentary Short Film.’ Producer Guneet Monga and director Kartiki Gonsalves were present their to receive the award and they spoke about the happiness they were feeling while receiving the award. However, Indian fans are happy for bagging the award but they slammed the academy for not giving much time to Guneet Monga and Kartiki Gonsalves to speak about their win.

The Elephant Whisperers won the Oscars 2023

During the announcement of the award, Lady Gaga was also there and she got 30 seconds extra but Guneet Monga and Kartiki Gonsalves’ 30 seconds was cut off and it made the fans angry. Fans starting slamming the oscars 2023 for cutting off time for The Elephant Whispers.

One user wrote, “Congratulations to the Elephant Whisperer. I know there’s a time limit but I swear they had less time to speak than other winners. I feel bad because the other producer wanted to say something and they didn’t give her a chance.” Another user slammed the academy and wrote, “#Oscars why do white people get to say thank you to all and sundry but the winner of elephant whisperer gets drowned out by music.
