Vicky Kaushal: URI actor's painful reaction as Karan Johar offers him 'Student of the year 3' goes viral | Watch Video

Vicky Kaushal: Uri actor, Vicky, who plays the lead in the upcoming movie Govinda Naam Mera, appears to have been let down by director Karan Johar's description of the storyline. In a brand-new advertisement, Vicky was astonished as Karan gave him Student of the Year 3. In the hilarious video, Vicky Kaushal and Karan Kaushal first high-fived as the latter referred to the actor as a "entertainer" and "firecracker."

Karan trolls Vicky for his intense roles

Vicky was then made fun of by Karan for his challenging roles as a "commando" and a "freedom fighter" in movies. Karan said to Vicky, "Dukh tera khatam hi nahi hota hai (Your sadness never ends)" as a jibe towards his 'Masaan' line. Vicky defended those roles by saying that there is a range even though they were serious and dramatic ones.

Even though Karan agreed with Vicky, he added that since the actor is now a star, he should do something "masaledaar, full of spice." Vicky was taken aback and asked about his suitability for such roles. Karan reassured him that there are a variety of roles in enjoyable movies as well. The actor concurred when Karan requested to see a "hashtag fun Vicky."

Karan offers 'SOTY 3' to Vicky Kaushal

Soon Karan told him the plot of a movie in which he can play the role of character who is debt-ridden and wife has a boyfriend. While Vicky looked disinterested, he was even more let down when Karan revealed that the character is about a background dancer.

Vicky then blasted by saying that even a dog’s story is better than this. After which, Karan offered him the ‘Student of the year 3.’ Vicky then looked at camera with a painful expression as the video ended.

The video was posted by Vicky on his instagram handle. With the post, he wrote "chose the #FunVicky choice. We'll talk soon. Lena sambhaal. Coming soon only on @disneyplushotstar, #GovindaNaamMera!" Vicky will appear in the funny Govind Naam Mera alongside Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani. The release date for Govinda Naam Mera, directed by Shashank Khaitan, is yet to be revealed.
