In a heartfelt Instagram post, Sonakshi shared the significance of the date, writing, “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each other’s eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife. The Wedding Ceremony: Surrounded by Loved Ones

Pre-Wedding Festivities

The wedding ceremony was a private affair, attended by family members and close friends, including Sonakshi’s Heeramandi co-star Aditi Rao Hydari and her fiancé, actor Siddharth. The pre-wedding celebrations began on Saturday with traditional pujas held at Sonakshi’s family home, Ramayan. Sonakshi, dressed in a blue kurta suit, attended the puja alongside her mother, Poonam Sinha.

Before the puja, the couple hosted an indoor party for friends and family on June 20, followed by a vibrant mehendi ceremony on June 21. Among the attendees were Sonakshi’s parents, Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha. Reports also suggest that the couple organized bachelor and bachelorette parties with their respective friends, ensuring a series of joyous events leading up to their wedding.

According to media reports, Sonakshi and Zaheer’s love story began at a party hosted by Salman Khan. The couple, who initially kept their relationship under wraps, made it official in 2023 after making a public appearance together at Aayush Sharma and Arpita Khan’s Eid celebration.
