Watched Pathaan in theatres? Now see the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer on OTT platform

Pathaan: Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone starrer Pathaaan has had a glorious run at the box office. Directed by Siddharth Anand and also featuring John Abraham, Pathaan has finally dropped digitally. The spy thriller was the comeback of Shah Rukh Khan on the big screen after 4 years. It broke all box office records and had a phenomenal theatrical journey.

After enjoying a successful run and 56 days after the film’s theatrical release, Pathaan released on the OTT platform for those who missed it in theatres. It is available to watch on Prime Video starting March 22.

Exclusive footage included

Interestingly, the OTT version includes a couple of minutes of exclusive footage that wasn’t there in the theatrical cut. The extended cut includes a few scenes which were important part of the story but were chopped on the editing desk for a tighter run time.

If you haven’t watch the film in theatre, would not even notice the additional scenes. But those saw the film theatrically, will certainly enjoy the OTT version.

Same belief system

During an interview with Galatta Plus, Siddharth Anand talked about a scene that was deleted from the film. He was asked about why SRK’s character didn’t have any religion in the film.  Anand replied, “The four of us have the same belief system, and the same films we’ve grown up on, and believed in. We share that. So, the fact that he doesn’t have a name, and that he’s found in a theatre that was actually called Navrang… This got edited out, but you might see this in the OTT version. None of us looks down upon it, none of us says this is cheesy.”

Without giving any spoilers, we will only say this: Whether you watched Pathaan in theatre or not, enjoy the film in digital format. Additional scenes will only add to the joy.
