Well, Rashmika’s post has already received 19.5 million likes, becoming the most-liked celebrity wedding announcement on Instagram. It broke the record previously held by Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, whose wedding photos earned 15.8 million likes in 2023.

Other top wedding posts, including Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor (12.5M), Vicky Kaushal-Katrina Kaif (12.1M) and Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh (6.3M), were also surpassed.

About VIROSH Wedding

Rashmika and Vijay’s wedding beautifully combined their cultural traditions. The day started with a Telugu ceremony at ITC Mementos Ekaaya in Udaipur and continued with a Kodava (Coorgi) ritual in the evening to honour Rashmika’s roots. The bride wore a rust-coloured silk saree with a veil embroidered with “in every lifetime” designed by Anamika Khanna. Vijay looked elegant in an ivory pattu pancha.

Around 100 close family members and friends attended the intimate ceremony. The celebrations included a fun “Virosh Premier League” cricket match and messages from notable personalities, including a special congratulatory note from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The couple will now host a grand reception at Taj Krishna in Hyderabad on March 4 for friends, colleagues and the film industry.
