‘What A Shame…’ Dhurandhar 2 Actor R Madhavan Slams Healthcare Brand For Using His Name In Fraudulent Endorsement

Actor R Madhavan has strongly reacted after discovering that a healthcare brand allegedly used his interview clip without permission to promote its product online. The actor took to social media on Wednesday and warned fans against trusting such advertisements, while also revealing that he has already sent a legal notice to the company.

The controversy erupted after a promotional reel featuring a clip from Madhavan’s old interview began circulating online. The video reportedly made it appear as though the actor was endorsing the healthcare product, something he has now publicly denied. His sharp response quickly grabbed attention on social media, with several fans praising him for speaking out against misleading advertisements.

R Madhavan Calls Out ‘Fraudulent’ Advertisement

Sharing screenshots and details of the reel on Instagram, Madhavan expressed anger over the misuse of his interview footage. The actor made it clear that he had never endorsed the healthcare product and accused the organisation of misleading the public.

He wrote, “What a shame. How do these people and organization think they can get away with this. You cannot take a clip of somebody’s interview and make it part of your endorsement. Legal notice sent. Please BEWARE of these kind of professionals and organizations (sic).”

The actor further clarified that the reel was edited in a way that falsely suggested he was promoting the product.

Calling the advertisement fraud, Madhavan added, “This REEL is making it sound like I’m endorsing their product. They have just taken a clip from an interview without any permissions and used it as an endorsement from my end. How are the public ever going to believe these people are their treatment. !!!! shame (sic).”

What Was Shown In The Viral Reel?

The controversial reel reportedly featured a clip from one of Madhavan’s earlier interviews where he was discussing his weight-loss transformation and how he managed to lose weight within 21 days.

The video then cuts to a man claiming to be a doctor, who speaks about Madhavan’s transformation while promoting the healthcare product. According to the actor, the clip was used without his knowledge or permission.

As of now, the healthcare brand has not released any official statement regarding the allegations or the legal notice sent by Madhavan.

Fans Support R Madhavan Online

Soon after Madhavan shared the post, several social media users supported the actor and criticised misleading online promotions. Many users also pointed out how fake celebrity endorsements have become increasingly common across social media platforms.

Several users also urged stricter legal action against companies that misuse celebrity videos and interviews to sell products online.
